Traffic Advisory
Kalia Road Repaving, Sidewalk and Walkway Repair Project
A repaving project along Kalia Road and the repair of sidewalks and walkways throughout Fort DeRussy is in progress with an anticipated completion of late Fall 2025.
This U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Honolulu District project us being completed in three phases:
- Phase 1 - Completed
- Phase 2 - July 7, 2025 - September 2025
- Phase 3 - September 2025 – November 2025 (pending completion of Phase 2)
Work to occur Monday – Friday, between 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
During Phase 2, all lanes on Kalia Road between Maluhia Road and the entrance to the Army Museum Turnaround will be closed in each direction, both eastbound and westbound, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Hale Koa Hotel Parking Garage will be accessible from Ala Moana Blvd. only, while the Hale Koa Hotel Surface Lot will be accessible from Saratoga Road only.
TheBus stops along Kalia Road will be relocated during construction and temporary bus stops will be available at the intersections of Ala Moana Blvd and Kalia/Ena Roads. The northbound stop will be next to the IHOP and the southbound stop will be at the northwest corner of DeRussy Park.
Please note that traffic flow and routes are subject to change as the project progresses
