To our Active Duty Service Members, Military Civilians, Retirees, and Families, welcome to Hale Koa Hotel, an Armed Forces Recreation Center located on 72 beautiful oceanfront acres of historic Fort DeRussy in the heart of Waikiki.

For more than 50 years, Hale Koa has had the privilege of providing members of the military community and their families with an exceptional Hawaiian vacation experience at an affordable price. What began in 1975 with 400 guestrooms has grown into one of the largest Morale, Welfare and Recreation facilities in the U.S. military, with 818 guestrooms and a dedicated team committed to serving those who serve.

As an Armed Forces Recreation Center, Hale Koa is a self-sustaining operation. Our operating expenses, employee salaries, and capital improvements are funded through the revenues generated by the hotel, without the use of taxpayer funds. This allows us to continually reinvest in the resort and the experience we provide our military guests.

Whether you are joining us for a family vacation, celebrating a special occasion, reconnecting after a deployment, or simply enjoying some well-earned time away, we hope Hale Koa feels like your home in Hawaii.
