For Your Safety

Hale Koa Hotel is a military resort property, with Force Protection practices in place. You can check State.gov for the latest travel advisories that may affect this area.

Also, Hawaii is, of course, surrounded by water. When you explore Waikiki Beach and other beaches around Oahu, please note the posted warning signs and take precaution. The state owned beachfront at Hale Koa Hotel does not have a lifeguard, so be mindful of water conditions and supervise children at all times. Hale Koa Hotel has free personal flotation devices available for guests to check out from the Ilima Pool area, but you still need to be with young children in the ocean. Also, if you’re going into the water, whether it’s for swimming, surfing, snorkeling or other sport, always go with a buddy. It’s never advised to swim alone in any condition.

You can visit the Hawaii Visitors and Conventions Bureau for local safety tips.
