Yes, city bus service operates a few steps away from the hotel. Visit www.thebus.org or phone 808-848-5555 for route, fare, schedule, and passenger information.

How much does it cost to stay at Hale Koa Hotel?

Rates range from $91 - $222 per night (current rates valid till September 30, 2013), Single/Double occupancy, based on rank and room category.

How far in advance are reservations accepted?
Reservations are accepted up to 365 days prior to arrival date and can be made by calling 1-800-367-6027 (CONUS) or 808-955-0555 locally. Reservations can also be made on line at www.halekoa.com

When is the best time of the year to secure a reservation at the Hale Koa Hotel?

September through mid-December. For best availability, reservations should be made at least 6 months in advance.

What is the difference between the various room categories?

Rooms are generally the same in size (approximately 300 square feet) and offer the same amenities. Categories differ by the view from the room's lanai. Most rooms are furnished with one king, two queen, one queen and one twin or one double and one twin bed. While we make every effort to accommodate special requests, these requests cannot be guaranteed and should be requested when making your reservations.

What are the guest room amenities?

Guest rooms are comfortable, thoughtfully, and tastefully appointed in a refined and restful color palette. All are equipped with central air conditioning, alarm clock/radio, flat screen color TV, telephone messaging system, iron/board, hair dryer, coffee service, a refrigerator, available in room pay for view movies, free internet service, and convenient video check out.

How many people can stay in a room? Can you accommodate special requests?

Each room can accommodate a maximum of 4 persons. Children under 12 years of age are free in their parents' room. A 3rd and 4th person charge applies to guests 12 years and older. Rollaway beds and cots are not available.

We attempt to honor special requests; however; reservations are confirmed by room category only. Requests such as tower preference, bed type, connecting, or adjoining rooms, or a specific room number cannot be guaranteed.

Does the Hale Koa have a Smoking policy?  How can I reserve a smoking guest room?

The Hale Koa is a non-smoking facility including all guest rooms and public spaces, to include Electronic Cigarettes.  There are no designated smoking guest rooms.

Does the Hale Koa Hotel have wheelchair accessible guest rooms?

Yes. Please call our Reservations Department at 800-367-6027 (CONUS) or 808-955-0555 locally to arrange for a wheelchair accessible guest room.

Can I store large items during my stay?

Hale Koa Hotel does not have storage facilities for large bulky items such as paddle boards, surf boards, and canoes.  Please make arrangements prior to your arrival for the handling of these items at a site off property or consider renting your water sport equipment from our Beach Rental Concessionaire.

Can I have flowers or a gift basket sent to a room upon arrival?

Yes, contact the hotel operator for assistance at 808-955-0555 and staff will be happy to assist with fruit baskets, champagne, or wine to be delivered to a guest room.

The "Flower Shop" located on property is able to create a floral arrangement, or a fresh flower lei and have it delivered to the guest room. Contact the "Flower Shop" at 808-944-0044.

When is Check-in & Check-out Time?

Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m. If you arrive early, every effort will be made to accommodate you. Otherwise, a Hospitality Room is available for your convenience. The Bell Desk will store your luggage until your room is available.

Check-out time is 12:00 noon. The Bell Desk will store your luggage until you are ready to depart.

What if a room at the Hale Koa Hotel is not available when I want to visit Hawaii?

Ask about our Referral Hotel program. We have arrangements with selected neighboring hotels to provide rooms for guests we are unable to accommodate. As a referred guest, you are still welcome to enjoy our ground, dinner shows, restaurants, lounges, and the Post Exchange (proof of Hale Koa eligibility required).

Is there parking available for hotel guests?

Yes, parking is available in the hotel's parking garage located across the street from the hotel. Additional parking is available in our Saratoga parking lot. Parking is $7 daily (price valid through September 2013) for hotel guests. Automatic payment facility pay stations located in hotel lobbies, ground floor garage and Saratoga parking lot. Bring parking ticket to hotel restaurants, banquet functions, bell desk or Ilima Swimming Pool for validation. Hale Koa parking shuttle operates upon request. Please inquire at bell desk or call (808) 955-0555 for assistance.

Does the hotel offer high speed internet access?

Yes, free high speed internet access is available in guest rooms through an Ethernet cable that connects direct to your laptop. Free WiFi is available in the main lobby and main pool areas.

Is there a kiosk to print boarding passes?

Yes there are boarding pass kiosks located in the Ilima lobby.
